Common questions

How much does Debt Negotiators cost?

Debt Negotiators is a fee-based service. Fees depend on the option and the work involved, and they’re explained before you decide anything. The first conversation costs nothing.

Will answering the 9 questions affect my credit score?

No. The questions don’t involve a credit check. Some options can affect your credit file if you go ahead with them, and we’ll tell you which ones before you decide.

Do I have to go ahead after the call?

No. You hear your options, what each one costs and its downsides, and then you decide. There’s no obligation.

What's the difference between consolidation and a debt agreement?

A consolidation loan is new credit that pays out your other debts. It isn’t an insolvency option, but lending criteria apply. A debt agreement is a formal agreement with your creditors under the Bankruptcy Act. It’s listed on your credit report and the National Personal Insolvency Index.

I've had a debt agreement or bankruptcy before. Can you still help?

A new debt agreement usually isn’t available within 10 years of a previous debt agreement or bankruptcy. Other options may still be, and we’ll go through them with you.

What kinds of debt do you work with?

Credit cards, personal loans, buy now pay later, utility and phone bills, and business and ATO debt. Tell us what you owe and we’ll go through what’s possible.
